The game is about a robot talking to a girl and discussing the world around them / what happened to it. I got the ending where you (the player) see ruins and end up trying to kill yourself (?).

Overall, the theme and aesthetic is really effective! I enjoyed the art (a lot!!!) and the color choices for both the visual pieces and background are really nice. (Along with that, the text down here is really effective too!! Connects with the robot/computer theme really well.) I had no interruption with playthrough, and really liked this game :).

I am an artificial lifeform talking to a girl about something terrible that happened to a place called Palladium. After viewing a video archive the artificial lifeform takes itself offline.

There's one broken image related to looking through Palladium files. Otherwise, the images were a good addition to this game and added some really nice moments of levity. The use of an animated image as a video of Palladium was a great choice. It was hard to see what was so dire about it, but I assumed it was smoke based on the response.

I like the way you were creating distinctions between the two characters' voices with things like Lay-PT being more expressive with their use of all the WOAAAH!! and AHHH! and STARS!! Oddly, I can't tell whose perspective the story is being told from, as it begins with VAL and ends with LAY. Interesting.

Good improvements with this revision!

I am a robot and a girl has awoken me. Now we are talking with one another finding out what happen before I was turned off. In the end I shut myself off, ending my life. The only issue I had was mines being on the dark theme so everything was dark. The imagines do add more to this sad story wished there were just a few more imagery. It's memorable how even a robot can feel pain and end its own life.

I'm a robot talking to a girl about her life and what happened in the Cataclysm. I got the ending where I saw a video of a bunch of ruins and then I shut myself off. There was moment where an image didn't show up right after VAL said "Layla, I need you to look through the files. There should be some videos from around Palladium." I liked the artwork a lot, it helped build the world and I liked the artstyle. I did find it a little confusing at first who I was, and then even once I figured out I was VAL I ended up being pretty lost figuring out where I was, or where the girl was, or how we were talking. I did like however that it's a text game where you play as the computer, as opposed to talking to the computer.

I was talking to a robot and chatting about events past in a post-apocalyptic world I like the chat format XD

And i like the font you used for your webpage

You play as a robot talking to a girl about the past. The first ending I got, VAL shut itself down and the second ending, Layla offers to help rebuild the archives. I think there was and instance lines where the chat name was the wrong character and there were some incontinences in their users too. One of the image files didn't load and the black on that cyan was also straining to read. I was a bit lost on VAL's connection to the past and who this "her" was and why any of this mattered among some other gripes that are too much for a comment but if you want a more in depth crit shoot me a message on discord (botv6). Outside of that, I thought the visuals were charming and I liked how Layla used emojis and immediately sent a doodle. I found it pretty endearing.

You play as a archivist robot and you talk to a human girl, I got the ending where the robot ends its life after finding out that their robot friend had passed away.

my crit would be that sometimes the name was a bit difficult to distinguish and at times confusing. and the ending as personally a little confusing where I had to play it again to make sure that it was the robot that had passed away.

I really enjoy the gif and art in the game! it helped me visualize the world a lot! The game's icon is also super cute and iconic!

I really enjoyed the witting about Layla's hometown feels nostalgic and almost so real!

I'm a robot talking to Layla about the state of the world. My first playthrough, I got the ending where Val invites Layla to go wander together. There was one part when you ask Layla about the cliffs where one line should have been said by Val but was labeled as Layla, but the meaning still comes across. The pictures are really cute and add to the style of the world as well as the personality of the characters. I like the new additional info of why Layla is out and about instead of at home!

(2nd time playing) I’m a robot (VAL) talking to a girl from Palladium and we are just chatting when I find out that all my robot friends died in a war 200 years ago and then I get sad and disconnect myself. The ending I received was looking at the old video and then disconnecting myself.  There were some small spelling issues (Some “L’s” in VAL weren't capitalized, there was 0 before LAY but idk if that meant something, and one of the images when you ask to see the videos doesn't show up) but the gameplay still felt good. I enjoyed learning more about Layla's life and why she was there and talking to me.

This is the story of a conversation between a robot and a human girl who survived a catastrophe. I reached the end where the girl was gone and the robot said in vain let's go wander. I like the whole style of the game, it makes people feel a little helpless and sad. When Layla describes the things she likes, I find the character very vivid.

There were some minor problems during the game: 1 picture and part of the text could not be displayed properly in the browser (the picture was damaged, and the text had to be shrunk for viewing might because #CLEAR was not included enough in the inky file). The names of the two characters are also somewhat similar, which makes it a little difficult to read.

My favorite part is when Layla disappears and the robot starts talking alone. This gives people a deep sense of loneliness.

Playing the updated version - a game about a robot archivist terminal being rediscovered by a little girl. I got the same ending as when I last played, where VAL wants to explore the world.

I found some continuity issues a little distracting, like repeating the same information unnecessarily, and sometimes the chat log would become so long the choices were almost cut off at the bottom of the screen.

However all of these issues are easily fixed, and i LOVED the addition of images! It really helped to enhance the world you were building and characterize the game as a whole. The size of the images was somewhat too big in my opinion but again that can easily be fixed.

I love the silly little cat emoji !!!!! I want to scrungle them :3 The worldbuilding is really intriguing and my favorite part about the game, so I'm excited that it's even more optimized and I really wanna see it perfected!! gj bestie <3

I'm a robot talking with someone named Layla about random things until Layla discovers that Palladium, an area important to her, has been destroyed. The ending I got implies that Layla commits suicide due to Palladium being destroyed.

The game's cover art is nice, and the graphic that shows Palladium in ruins helps visualize it further than being just a simple text conversation game. I also enjoyed having Layla talk about things she liked such as starstalks or kult-kult.

The naming conventions of the two characters, while they make sense (Bt = bastion terminal, pt = person terminal?) look very similar to each other visually and there are some times where I have a hard time keeping track of who says what. There's also some typos that some others mentioned, but they can be very easily fixed.

you play as a robot talking to a girl who just woke you up after a cataclysm that destroyed the world. I got the ending where you deactivate yourself and the ending where you get mad at Layla. I had some issues with looping where some decisions would put me back in points I had already read, as well as a few images not loading. I liked some of the extra things you added in from the last time, like the extra descriptions of Laylas hometown and why she left. However, I think it could still use some more polishing, especially in the ending sequences. We don't really get a full description of what life was like before the cataclysm, why our character is so upset about it, and who exactly our character is. I also think as fun as the images are, I feel like the only one that serves a narrative purpose is the clip at the end of the cataclysm (which i really liked the addition of!). Maybe a computer terminal background or something to really immerse us that we are talking to a computer? I like the concept that you are working with and I'd love to see it fully expanded on!

I am a robot having a conversation with a human girl about things like food from my town which turns to the discovery of the destruction of an area called Palladium. I played through it twice and one of the times it ended with the presumed suicide of the girl.

There were some small typos that I came across (like "maman" instead of "mama") but they didn't hinder the experience.

I enjoyed the chat log format, but I often became confused about who was speaking. The voices are sort of similar in tone. It's possible that this could be remedied a bit by continuing to break the passages into smaller chunks, separated by singular choices. You do this already quite effectively throughout the game. The longer passages are also the most dramatic, so breaking them up would help you create pacing that emphasized your emotional beats. Towards the end they get a little lost in the conversation.

I really appreciate the conversational style and the intimate discussions of things like kult-kult. They created warm moments that served as a good counterpoint to the bleak developments in the story. Nice work.

The last of a model of robot and a girl have a conversation. I ended up wandering with Layla. I like this chat-log format however, the dialogue between characters feels like they have the same voice. If this was intentional, disregard but if not, it's in your best interest to give each of your voices strong, distinct personalities, especially in a story format like this one. No technical issues.

I'm a robot talking to a girl after I haven't been able to talk to anybody for a very long time, only to find out that all my other robot friends are dead. I received the ending of finding out my friends had been dead for 200 years and then asking Layla to wander. The only things that were a bit unclear were the BT after val in the beginning and the VAL-PT. I wasn't sure if the VAL-PT was another VAL or if it was me. I liked getting to know Layla for a bit through the friendly dialog in the beginning.

It was a very sad tale. How you wake up in the future not knowing what happened to the world only to learn about it very tragic. In the beginning it starts off with VAL then goes to VAL-BT then back to VAL. I don't know if the -BT was forgotten to be added or not but it makes me feel as if they were two different beings kind of confusing me. The ending were I kill myself or is pissed at the girl makes me feel that the robot isn't just a robot. It has emotions like human. Their response felt very human like.

I think i killed myself :(. I'm a computer that didn't know the world had been destroyed.Very somber tone. I had fun.

I replayed as a robot who get reawakened by a teenager and we talk about their town n food, then I learned that the rest of my kind is gone and I shut myself off. The color palette helps me feel like I'm looking at a computer. The gif of the destroyed civilization added to the overall aesthetic but I don't know if it added to the game play. I like that the ending is telling but also slightly ambiguous.

My first playthrough, I got the ending where VAL presumably kills themself? I really enjoyed the format of the game (with speech being in textboxes), and the world building is really well done! I feel like there's a lot to learn if I keep playing through and going down different routes.

The worldbuilding is really good! I enjoyed how you were able to make these characters distinct through their typing styles. I wish there was a bit more difference in how we could react based on what we asked Layla previously, it would feel a lot more distinct and meaningful that way!

I like the plot its put together well.i got a end ending where Val doesn’t go with layla and i don’t know if it might be me but that last line doesn’t feel like ending line

The game description is a concise summary of the plot and i dont want to repeat it unnecessarily

I have to remain, let's go wander! There were some minor spelling errors, and some formatting ones (discrepancies between showing VAL's name in the answer choices) but i love the worldbuilding and i felt so compelled to go back and try saying more things!

I like the twist of learning that I'm the robot that's the last of her kind, but I wish it wasn't also in the description that I'm the last of my kind because having both those pieces of information learned in the game would be cool. Idk which ending it is, but it's the one where I ask Layla to wander together with me.

(1 edit)

I played as Val, who woke up upon realizing that the coms were suddenly online, and had a brief chat with the stranger Layla over coms. They talked about Layla's life, but then Val found out that humans had destroyed her home and life, prompting her to shut her system down.

There were some spelling mistakes, and I might have enjoyed the player's conversation choices also including the VAl-BT tag.

I like that the atmosphere is very clear from the start, and the pieces of information from Layla's world were really cute. I want to try kult-kult.

This is good, I would suggest describing VAL-BT's emotions in between chat lines if storytelling is more your thing.
